during this hour teleseminar.
A little more about Bill, in
his own words:
"Hi. My name is Bill
Henderson. In November 1990, my former wife, Marjorie, began her four-year
bout with ovarian cancer. She died on November 1, 1994. Her many operations,
chemotherapy treatments and intense pain made her wish often in her last two
years for a quick death, or "transition," as she called it.
After watching that, it
was hard for me to believe that millions of people each year had to endure
that same torture. I now believe that the treatment she received was the
cause of her death, not the cancer. I have read widely in the ensuing years,
searching for alternative cancer treatments. I have found over three hundred
and fifty."
Don't miss out on this great
opportunity to listen to Bill Henderson and get your questions about natural
healing pathways answered!
Cindy's Blog: The
Secret of Life,
Proteins & Mindfulness
Cindy talks reincorporating ancient healing
strategies through modern physics in her recent blog.
She's been listening to Bruce Lipton, a Ph.D. cellular biologist and author of The Biology of
Belief.
Lipton talks about the new physics, the invisible forces interacting
with us all the time, and how our beliefs create vibrational energies that
influence cause and effect in our own biologies. Fascinating stuff!

Watching Weight After the
Holidays
Some folks just starve themselves after the holiday feasts.
Others make friends anew with their treadmills and sneakers.
Some go on major detoxification programs.
And some folks just shrug and say “whaddya gonna do?”
Whatever your temperament, you ought to think about what will work for you.
After all, it takes only 100 calories a day extra to add 10 pounds a year. Gag (er,
I mean, “gasp”)!
Scary thought, anyway, eh? Any little snacks being hurled toward the bin as
you read this?!
Here are a few things you may want to consider while watching your weight
post-holiday!
-
Go Mediterranean in your diet –
Greek researchers show an inverse relation between
Mediterranean diets and
obesity, in a population that is free feeding and not dieting!
-
Boost your protein intake – University of Washington’s School of Medicine reported that diets with
30%
protein, along with dietary fats below 20%, result in significant weight
loss.
-
Add vegetarian proteins – Taipei
Medical University showed obese adults on
soy protein diets with reduced
body fat percentages compared to traditional low-calorie diets with more
animal proteins.
-
Increase your fiber intake –
University of St. Paul researchers showed strong epidemiologic support for
high fiber intakes in preventing obesity by increasing satiety and
decreasing fat absorption.
-
Include fat burners –
DHEA and
green tea are both considered fat burners due to their thermogenic actions.
Japanese researchers studying mice fed high-fat diets but also green tea
extract paired with exercise. While green tea is helpful alone, with
exercise, the mice studied experienced an 89% reduction in weight gain
induced by a high-fat diet, while visceral fat dropped 87% over 15 weeks.
-
Consider fat redistributors -
Conjugated linoleic acid is another fat busting aid, known for its ability
to alter fat oxidation and energy expenditure during sleep.
-
Add energy burners –
L-carnitine
also helps turn fat into energy without creating muscle loss by increasing
fatty acid oxidation.
You can find DHEA, Green Tea Extract, Conjugated
Linoleic Acid, and L-Carnitine for great low prices on the Co-op's
product page.
Potato Protein to Stave Off Hunger?
Back in November, Stephen met with the Kemin folks, makers of
Slendesta, a
potato protein extract that is reputed for increasing satiety. He has been on a
diet of late and is interested in helping all dieting members with their between
meals hunger challenges.
If you have an interest or experience with Slendesta, drop

hearing plenty about Constant Health.
Whether you're a Constant Health fan or not, this kat thought you'd enjoy the
following member quotes:
"I too had problems getting my big hands into the jar, but I just taped a
popsicle stick to the small handle on the scoop and it is the prefect length."
- Member Charles J.
"I’m becoming
a Constant Health fan. First, it gives me energy, and the taste, while not in
the same league as Valrhona dark chocolate, is growing on me." - Scott
F.
"I was
wondering if Constant Health was responsible for some unintentional and very
appreciated weight loss I've been noticing. Certain food cravings have
dissipated, and my hunch is that is so because my body is so well nourished by
Constant Health." - Lynda S.
