Bound for Florida & the Foundational Health Center

This morning, before the sun was up, I sheepishly dashed into a 7-11 for coffee in a black tennis skirt and a red parka. Steve is in Korea and I didn't take time to make a pot of coffee. It hardly seems worth it when one only drinks a half a cup.

If I run from the car to the gym, it doesn't seem so unreasonable to leave my sweats in my closet, but it does look pretty ridiculous. No one I know is out and about at 6:30 a.m., fortunately.

As I sprinted back to my car with a half cup of dark roasted java, I thought, "Florida sounds pretty good right about now!"

We're flying in to West Palm Beach and staying with my brother Stephen and his wife Kelly for a night. On December 14th, Stephen, Teri, my Steve, and I all head to Tampa to hook up with Mike Ciell at the Foundational Health Center.

A friend asked if I was excited about going to Florida and I said I was especially looking forward to Tampa. She wrinkled her nose and shook her head, "You're excited about getting vitamin C infusions by IV?"

I confess, I've been seduced by Mike's stories of improved vision after the high-dose vitamin C infusions (hey, I'm 46 now and I bought my first reading glasses last month). I'm also curious to experience the treatment for myself (Dr. Rodier gets infused at his clinic regularly as preventive therapy).

Teri's "in" but we're not exactly betting on the guys joining us.

I talked to Mike the other night and it sounds like his practice is about to grow dramatically (sounds like new digs and investments are ahead, yeah for Mike and Dr. Young!).

Mike bragged about his nurse practitioner, Patrick, who is a "master at IVs." I used to be squeamish about needles, but if I can donate blood, this can't be too bad, right?

So why, you ask, wouldn't I do the "Myers Cocktail" locally at Dr. Rodier's clinic in Draper? Well, for starters, there are no beachside cottages to explore!

If I become a true believer, I'll do maintenance work back here in Utah. Stay tuned.

And for those of you wondering how I made out in tennis this morning, I played for two hours, wondered where Jill's smoking serves came from, feel sore (in a good way), and look forward to playing outside in Florida next week!
