Happy July 4th! (No Shipping
Monday)
This Sunday barbeques will be smoking, parades will
be making town centers buzz, and fireworks will be flying high. The joke here at
the Co-op is that the big celebration this weekend is because Cindy is back from
Denmark.
However you look at it, the 4th of July is a
uniquely human celebration, inevitably causing shock waves to sensitive canine
ears and feline sensibilities! ^..^
As a reminder, July 5th is considered a U.S.
holiday, and the Co-op will be closed on Monday. That means no shipping will be
available until Tuesday, July 6th.
Happy 4th of July from the Co-op team who will be
celebrating together in Jupiter, Florida on Sunday!
Flat-Rate Shipping - A Question for Our Members
Fair members, some of you
continue to squawk about shipping and beg for a lower flat-rate.
I’m typically of the mind that if something ain’t
broken, don’t fix it. However, the humans have to put up with your complaints, and
they have been pestering me for a decision. Instead, I propose that the majority rule on this
one.
Here’s the deal. We are considering simplifying our
shipping program by introducing a flat rate of $4.99 for all shipping unless you
specifically select another option (i.e. Priority Mail, FedEx).
The Cons: We would have to raise
prices on all of our products 5% to make this system work. Our current shipping
model is that we charge the actual charge from the carrier plus one dollar to
cover packaging, insurance, etc. We have found this allows us to break even on
our shipping program.
We are a small
company and strive to always offer the very best value possible given our many
investments in quality. To ensure our traditional 100% of label claim
guarantee (not the plus or minus 10% wiggle room even the U.S. Pharmacopia
allows) and to maintain our commitment to top-quality ingredients and independent laboratory
testing, we would have to raise prices modestly to support lower shipping costs.
The Pros: Flat-rate shipping means
that adding additional bottles or jars of heavy items (like Heart Plus, Liquid
Calcium, or Constant Health) wouldn’t make your shipping charges jump.

believe our products that are expiring have more punch than many products that
have not yet expired. Don't let the expiration date scare you!
