Survey participants have
been telling us they mostly “have no clue” about the
potential new products we have been considering. Here’s
round two of introductions (see
last week’s newsletter for our notes about why
quercetin, hydrocholoric acid, and rice protein powder
were on the list
Tryptophan -
Members have been yowling for tryptophan for ages. so no
surprise it's our most popular survey product thus far.
Lo and behold, tryptophan is at the top of the list
based on current member feedback. Tryptophan is one of
the 10 essential amino acids the body uses to synthesize
protein. Most famously, tryptophan serves as a precursor
for serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps the body
regulate appetite, sleep patterns, and mood. Tryptophan
also supports the body's production of niacin, which
supports heart health.
Gotta love those amino acids and what they do!
Speaking of which, it’s a possibility that enough of you
are interested in having our l-arginine back, so holler
a bit if you’re one of the l-arginine fans!).
Organic Cocoa Powder
- Seems there are a whole lot of sad faces now that our
initial "chocolate season" is over (sigh, it's too hot
to be shipping chocolate bars around the globe from
April until October).
So, in the meantime, we're able to offer the same
Granada Chocolate Company goodness in an organic dark
chocolate powder that blends well in smoothies and
coffee lattes alike and adds rich flavor to baked goods
and Mexican mole sauces too.
Recently, Cindy made some rice flour pancakes with
dustings of the sample dark chocolate powder that we
received, and she and her guests all gave “two paws up,”
so we are likely to be ordering some initial inventory
for you die-hard chocolate fans sometime soon!
Voting, however, will determine how much we order, so
speak up if you want some (you may recall that we ran
out of the bars almost as soon as they went on sale).

Vitamin D Home Test Kit
-
We keep heralding the amazing research on the value
of higher levels of vitamin D. Granted, for the Co-op,
the Vitamin D Home Test Kit is a pricey item; however,
monitoring your own vitamin D levels might just beat a
visit to the doctor's office.
If you've been trying to get your vitamin D levels up
or if you would like to get an initial reading, you can
easily check your progress at home.

Fountain of Youth: The Wisdom of Stress + Antidote to Exhaustion
Tess has written a couple blogs that merit a
peek. In one, she shares how her two Siamese kitties are doing on
their new raw food diet. In the other, she describes how she
recently avoided becoming ill during a stressful few weeks.
