NEW SMALLER ARTHRO 3 TABLETS!

Just when you think that was all the good news of day, there’s more! Those fat saffron-colored Arthro 3 tablets that you’ve been hissing about have slimmed down!

You may recall that we announced slimmed-down Heart Plus in our last newsletter. For those of you who don’t always read our newsletter (tsk, tsk), our manufacturer invested in new tablet-pressing technology, which requires fewer excipients and allows for smaller, easier-to-swallow tablets.

Our vegetarian Arthro 3 is the exact same formula of boswellia, curcumin, and MSM – it’s just smaller and easier to swallow. If you’re a doubting Thomas, take a look at our latest lab test and you’ll see the new tablets deliver the same goods your joint comfort needs!

MEMBERS COMMENT ON PSA TEST FROM LAST NEWSLETTER

After our last newsletter, which featured an interview with member, Jack Jump, about prostate cancer, we had a few members point out that PSA tests are not always reliable.

That is absolutely true. I should have included a paragraph stressing the fact that a PSA test is just a screening test.

Alas, a PSA test is not fool-proof in detecting cancer.

According to the National Cancer Institute, the PSA test cannot confirm whether or not cancer is present, but it can suggest the need for further tests -- if the PSA levels are higher than normal. In addition, if the PSA test does not indicate abnormally high PSA levels, it does not mean you don’t have to worry.

There are many other clinical trials underway that are reviewing current and new screening tests, including a test that suggests having a digital rectal examination (DRE) in conjunction with having a PSA test – but again this is still being researched.

One of our favorite members, registered nurse, Diana Dwan Poole, noted in her email:

“The PSA is a start, but very rudimentary and not reliable. We women are warned to self-check our breasts for lumps. Well guess what?! Men need to self-examine their testicles as well. This is a serious warning to all men. If you find anything unusual, see your doctor.”

Diana added: “The prostate is a gland that is like a doughnut around the urethra. When it gets swollen by disease, normal function is restricted; urination and sex are also restricted. One does not want to ignore abnormalities---especially those having to do with reproductive organs.”

Thanks, Diana! We always love hearing from you! Meanwhile, also check out the National Cancer Institute’s webpage on prostate cancer screenings in general: http://www.nci.nih.gov/cancertopics/pdq/screening/prostate/Patient/page3
