If you had the pleasure of viewing the first
Smoothie Kings Constant Health video (and even
if you didn't), you will love their new one. The
girls think Peter Wolfe is a cutie. Don't they
get it? I'm the cute one! They should stop
telling me these things.
Nevertheless, take a look and see how one of our
favorite members has way too much fun
with Constant Health, one blender, a hungry
sidekick, and a counter full of things he mixes
into his morning shakes:
Kat's Interview: Peter Wolff,
Smoothie King & Long-time Member
This kat recently curled up and had a cozy conversation with long-time Co-op
member Peter Wolff (of Smoothie King fame above). Peter had tails (oops, I mean tales!) to
tell about the early Co-op days, thoughts to share on health and healing,
and a few elephant stories to boot.
Kat: You and the Co-op go way back.
PW: That’s right. I was getting newsletters from the late, great
Stewart (Cindy and Stephen’s dad) back before the Co-op was the Co-op. He
was innovative, unique, irreverent, and down right funny. I became very
interested in what he had to say. I started buying vitamins and minerals
from him and was probably one of the Co-op’s very first customers. Today,
you’re my one stop favorite website. Where else can you get quality
products, great prices, and a little levity?
Kat: Flattery will get you everywhere. You are purr-fectly welcome
to keep going!
PW: Oh, I sing your praises all the time. Why, the other day we
had a few folks over—all in their 50s and early 60s—and, as will often
happen when baby boomers gather together, the conversation turned to our
various aliments and health concerns. Each guest had an issue they wanted my
advice on. I, of course, directed them to the Co-op! One lady wanted to be
healthy internally because she was getting ready to donate a kidney to her
niece. I bought her Constant Health and she’s been taking it in preparation
for the transplant. Nothing like getting immune, intestinal, and detox
support all in one tasty concoction!
Finish Peter's interview (including how he lost 30
lbs, what his favorite Co-op products are, and much more).
New anti-cancer components of extra-virgin olive oil revealed. Good
quality extra-virgin olive oil contains health-relevant chemicals, ‘phytochemicals,’
that can trigger cancer cell death. New research sheds more light on the
suspected association between olive oil-rich Mediterranean diets and
reductions in breast cancer risk.
Revisiting 2008 & a Happy New Year!
Not a lot of dust kitties growing
in the Co-op's world. Here are a few highlights from 2008:
Soothing Greens, formulated by
Dr. Rodier and based
on our ongoing commitment to products that support better gastrointestinal
health.
Seminars
Dr. Rodier's seminars on
Cellular TOIL
(how cellular toxicity, oxidation, inflammation and lack of mitochondrial
energy affect health). Dr. Rodier's seminars drew healthcare practitioners
and members alike.
Bill Henderson's
Beating Cancer Gently seminar, which drew over 100 people from
around the world (Bill's fan club is much larger than mine, humanitarian
that he is)
Mindfulness & Health
series with Pam Weiss, which appealed to people living with cancer and other
diseases as well as stressed-out professionals.
That's enough bragging for a
scruffy little outfit like the Co-op.
Now, with 2008 going bye-bye, know
that the humans will have fresh attention for new initiatives and member
requests in 2009.
Whatever you do though, don't be
sending this kat news on your New Year's resolutions. However, if your New
Year's resolution happens to include weight loss, you may want to contact Teri as she, Stephen,
and Donnaree are trying something new and have collectively lost over 30 lbs.
As for this kat, I'll stick to Mark
Twain, whose often acerbic words tend to tickle my fancy:
New Year's Day… now is the
accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions.
Next week you can begin
paving hell with them as usual.
Tee hee! ^..^
Still purringly yours,
Guido

Boy am I
jealous. Just the thought of warm weather makes me feel
warm and fuzzy all over.
If only
we could exchange places for a day.....
Right now
its snowing, we will only get 6 inches of snow today, with temps falling
below zero tonight. You would not like this picture I am painting.
On the
other hand I would be very pleased to be in the picture you're in, with the
palm trees, sunshine, warm air to breathe while the waves dash and plummet
against the shoreline.
Oh well.
One day maybe I can slip out of my parka and place the dog sled team in a
kennel for a week and come down there to experience that wonderful climate
and beauty for my self.
All cats
should cover their eyes because I
used the term dog sled team in the last sentence! On the other hand, cats
should be proud they are not used in this way. Has anyone ever seen a team
of cats pulling a sled with the master urging them on??
Thank You very much for helping. You all HAVE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Smiles,
Dean
