Cindy's Blog: Her Father's Story Told Memoir
Style
Whether you've been
with the Co-op since the beginning or you've only recently found us, you'll
appreciate Cindy's recent memoir blogs on the early days of the Co-op and her
relationship with her father, Stewart Fason (who many members remember as Dr.
Jon).
Chapter One - Cucamonga, California (Early Memories of My Father)
Recounting some of her early childhood memories of her father, Cindy gives a
peek into his love of animals, odd entrepreneurial projects, and often
charismatic and eccentric personality.
Chapter Two - You Can Call Me Dad
At age 16, Cindy was sent from California to live with her father in Florida.
Having spent little time with him growing up and knowing nothing about his east
coast bachelor life, Cindy tried to find her footing in a new world with a
strange man.

Teri's 55th Birthday Present
Teri celebrated her 55th birthday
on August 16th. The cake Cindy brought in as a treat was truly a homage to
Teri's personality -- a complete cake had been constructed from pieces of
chocolate decadence, carrot, red velvet, sugar-free chocolate mousse, and berry
crumble cakes so that Teri could have samplers of each.
With sweet stuff to enjoy and
share (with the neighbors), Teri smiled a lot and worried not a bit about being
too much of a grownup.
Previously, Teri had sent a note
to all her Ideal Protein Dieters to request they give her the gift of an update
on their dieting progress. The notes she received in return warmed her heart,
especially the little package she received from member Tricia G.
Tricia printed one of Teri's summer
vacation pictures and framed it in a
Happy Birthday flower frame. She also sent Teri a box of gourmet
brownies. Awww.
The humans sure do love their
Teri...hmm...this kat certainly hasn't gotten any treat packages lately.
