Echinacea, Potassium & Zinc for Better Health
In response to your requests, fair members, the Co-op is releasing three new products to support your health:
Echinacea
Echinacea supports upper respiratory tract health and is considered to have antiviral and immune system stimulatory effects.
Stock up on Echinacea today, at the everyday low Co-op price of $4.67 for a bottle of 120, 400 mg capsules.
Potassium
Potassium is an essential mineral that serves as an electrolyte and plays a key role in regulating water and PH balance in the body, transmitting nerve impulses, maintaining healthy bones, assisting carbohydrate metabolism, and in controlling muscle contraction, including the heart. Potassium, like all minerals, is also alkalizing for your body.
Order Potassium now, at the everyday low Co-op price of $4.38 for 120, 99 mg tablets.
Chelated Zinc
Zinc is a biologically essential trace mineral critical to healthy metabolism, hormone levels, immune function, and skin and mucosal membranes.
Zinc also supports muscle, bone, kidney, liver, pancreas, eye, brain, and prostate health. Men have long been hollering for a separate Zinc product, so know that you (or your man) have been heard.
Zinc supplements can create stomach upset, so our Chelated Zinc binds the zinc to amino acids that aid in its absorption and reduce the chance of stomach upset and nausea. (Taking zinc with dairy products may interfere with body’s absorption of zinc.)
Purchase your supply of Zinc today, for just $4.23 for 120, 25 mg tablets.

Cindy also shares some information about magnesium levels and high blood pressure, and invites readers to share their own stories about the remarkable mineral.
Our Magnesium Citrate is another mighty mineral for just $4.77 for 90, 200 mg tablets.
Teri Heads for the Hills. This human's a positive one. Even when it's raining on her vacation, Teri has a way of making it sound lovely. Then, complete with a picture of a woodsy cabin as proof, she shares her joy of taking time in nature with Harley. If she keeps it up, this kat could become a tad jealous.
We animals love our humans, in spite of it all. Whether our people are healthy or ailing, it matters not. One dog in particular went to extraordinary means to save his person when a power outage shut off her respirator. Check out the uncanny story of Midas, the service dog who administered CPR and has now earned the right to retire (sometimes you just have give a guy his due, even if he is a dog).
That's all for now, fair members! ^..^

From a member responding to Cindy's blog:
"Reading your blog today, reminded me of something I read way before the Internet. It was a book titled, "The Cat Made Me Buy It" (it's still available on Amazon, I see). I became aware ever since then of just how many things I bought because there was a cat involved somehow. The only difference is now I am aware of why I buy what I buy. My love of cats. Or any animal.
If I may, I just rescued my first cat in Charlotte, NC. 'Mustang Sally' was very pregnant. If any Co-op subscribers in the south Charlotte area would like a kitten or two, please contact me (www.h2w2.com/kittens)."
~ Mary Mac
Note from this Kat: Mary Mac, may Mustang Sally's kittens all go to good cat-loving homes. And, may cat-lovers like you live long and prosper always. ^..^

- Albert Einstein School of Medicine Lauches Study on Aging
The Albert Einstein School of Medicine has launched a new website, SuperAgers.com, to promote a new project designed to understand the aging process. “The goal of the Longevity Genes Project is to understand how centenarians live so long,” said Dr. Barzilai, director of the Institute for Aging Research. Among the findings to date:
• the identification of at least three genes thought to promote longevity; • evidence that longevity is highly likely to be inherited from generation to generation; and • the finding that those with exceptional longevity are more likely to have significantly elevated levels of HDL or “good” cholesterol.
Note: Remember Our Health Co-op offers a variety of products to promote cardiovascular health. Check out our heart health section.
