Okay, so you couldn't resist that chocolate chip cookie or glazed donut. What's the best way to made amends? Walk it off! That's right. Take a hike!

Whether you've stuck to the Ideal Protein plan, or slipped up a bit, a short walk can make a difference. How many steps a day should you walk you might wonder. According to a study published in Sports Medicine, 10,000 is the ideal target for adults. And how many steps does the average American really take? One study reported men took 7,192 per day and women only 5,210.

Consider investing in a pedometer and challenge yourself to walk just a little bit more each day. Park your car in a spot slightly further away. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk once around the block before each meal. Adding steps is easy. Set yourself a daily step goal and then reward yourself with an Ideal Protein treat.
