Diet and exercise. Exercise and diet. We've all heard the mantra. The diet part is easier with the IP Program, but what about exercise, especially during this cold, cold winter? Who wants to bundle up for that brisk walk around the block, or scrape ice and snow off the car to drive to the gym? We're even freezing our buns off here Palm Beach County! People always ask me what I do for exercise, and I'm here to confess sometimes it doesn't involve leaving the house at all! I'm a big fan of the Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast Cardio Dance & Sculpt DVD. Donnaree and I call it the Shake Your Tushie Workout . It's available on the internet for about $15 and is perfect for anyone who is very out of shape or strapped for time. The DVD offers segments for warm up and cool down if you are very out of shape. Plus nice cardio and strength segments that run about 20 minutes. The program allows you to select the segments you want to do. You can move about in your very own living room without props. I use a seltzer bottle for the weight segment. Enjoy an extra calorie burn if you need to move the furniture first! You can also simply put on a favorite music CD and dance up a storm for 10 or 15 minutes. Just remember to stretch and warm up first! Lastly, if your house has stairs, challenge yourself to go up and down the stairs 10 times a day. Every step counts! A reminder to my new dieters no aerobic exercise for the first three weeks on the program. Your friend, Teri --------------------
