Dear Friend,
One of my favorite meals is
Sunday Brunch. You can easily plan a festive Sunday brunch and still
stick to your IP diet.
Here are a few ideas:
-
Go French and serve crepes.
IP offers plain crepes (try sprinkling with cinnamon!) and
chocolate crepes.
-
Prepare a tray of veggies
including asparagus, cucumbers, tomatoes, and palm hearts. Offer
a selection of calorie free, guilt-free Walden Farms dips
-
Make your own version of
deviled eggs (minus the mayo!) with hot mustard, garlic, and
paprika
-
Indulge in IP Salmon Bisque.
If you love gravlax, you'll love this recipe! Makes 1 Ideal
Protein Portion Ingredients: 1 packet Ideal Protein Soup (Leek,
Mushroom, or Chicken), 1 oz gravlax, 1/2 tsp crushed garlic hot
sauce to taste
Instructions: Mix the
soup with 8 ounces of boiling water in a fairly tall container
or in your blender jar. Slice the salmon into 1" pieces and add
to the mix. Add the garlic and hot sauce. Blend until the salmon
can no longer be seen as individual pieces, 1 minute or so. Pour
the soup into a mug and enjoy. Consider garnishing with
watercress or raw onion. Strictly speaking, the 1 oz of salmon
should be taken into account when you figure your main meal
protein for the day. This recipe is ideal for all phases of the
IP program.
As for drinks, go fruity! IP
offers a delicious Pineapple Banana Drink, an anti-oxidant packed
Blueberry, Cranberry, Pomegranate concoction, a tropical Peach Mango
Drink, and a provide-your-own-umbrella Pina Colada Smoothie.
Enjoy!
Thinking of
you,
Teri
