Happy Thanksgiving!!

Let’s talk turkey. Turkey, in case you’ve forgotten, is definitely on your Ideal Protein diet, so do not despair! But what to do about all the trimmings? Improvise!

  • Substitute the tempting turnip for those mushy potatoes. 

  • Try leeks and mushrooms, two unique and flavorful fall vegetables, in place of that old stand-by corn.

  • Go southern and cook up some collard greens!

  • Save a pumpkin, and opt for rhubarb pie instead—minus the pie part, that is!

And if the rhubarb doesn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, remember all the fine Ideal Protein puddings. The true meaning of Thanksgiving is not an excuse to overindulge, but a time to pause and give thanks. Give thanks for those disappearing pounds and, should you sneak a small treat or two, forgive yourself!
