This week, we take a few lessons from the French! Have you ever wondered why the women of Paris all seem to be so sleek and slender? Their secret is really quite simple. The French rarely snack, and eat only while sitting at the table. (We, on the other hand, tend to eat everywhere and in every imaginable position).

The French also make meals a time of pleasure and relaxation, spacing out their courses and eating at a leisurely pace. Indeed, meal time should be a time to set your troubles aside. Relax and savor your food, either with friends and family or pleasurably on your own. Lastly, the word 'petite' applies to more than just dress size in Paris.

The French know that a petite serving of food is just as tasty and delicious as a large one. So here's my simple advice for you this week. Keep your serving sizes modest. Make meal time a time to pause, reflect, and celebrate. Stop eating when you are full. The results will be Magnifique! Bon Appetite!
