Someone once noted, “We're the country that has more food to eat than any other country in the world, and more diets to keep us from eating it.” Diets come and diets go. Here a few best-selling diets of days yore: Pray Your Weight Away (1957) … Help Lord, The Devil Wants Me Fat (1978) … and French Women Don't Get Fat (2004). There have been Cabbage Soup Diets, Cookie Diets, and Grapefruit Diets. You'll recall diets named after places, like the Scarsdale Diet and The South Beach Diet. Most diets, alas, are pure fad. They come and go, and with good reason. They don't work! Not so with The Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method. Did you know the Ideal Protein diet was developed in France 23 years ago by an MD. Originally designed for Olympic athletes who wanted to lose body fat but not muscle, the diet has stood the test of time. Based on medical principals, it offers steady weight loss – usually between 3 to 7 pounds per week. Best of all, you won't be hungry! So pat yourself on the back, and keep up the good work. In the meantime, here's an easy, delicious recipe for any phase of the diet. Enjoy!
Crock-pot Meal Yield: 2 Ideal Protein foods + 2 Lean Meat Portions (if you share this meal with a partner, NO snack later)
Pour 20 oz of your choice of low fat broth in a blender. Add the contents of all three Ideal Protein soups of your choice. Blend until smooth. Pour into a Crock-pot. Add your choice of meat and vegetables. Spice up as you please. Simmer over low heat for 4-6 hours until the meat is so tender it falls apart at the touch of your fork. Great for leftovers or to share with your entire family. Let me know how you are doing, Thinking of you, Teri --------------------
