Our Health Co-op Presents at the Forever Young Expo

WEST PALM BEACH - Our Health Co-op announced today that it will be participating in the Forever Young Expo on October 3, 2004 at the Harriet Himmel Gilman Theater at City Place in West Palm Beach. 

 

Our Health Co-op will be sponsoring a presentation on Linus Pauling’s theory of coronary heart disease and what it means to consumers. Pauling’s “Unified Theory” explains heart disease based on nutritional imbalances, while mainstream explanations of heart disease identify cholesterol as the primary problem.

 

Registered pharmacist and geriatric specialist, Mike Ciell, will explain Pauling’s “Unified Theory” and his research into the use of Vitamin C, L-Lysine, and L-Proline to support artery health in a safe, non-toxic way, which is entirely complementary to mainstream medical interventions.

 

According to Cindy Marteney, CEO of Our Health Co-op, “Mike is one of those rare integrative pharmacists who studies dietary supplements as intensively as he studies pharmaceuticals.”  She added, “Mike analyzes molecular compositions and can explain even complex biochemistry to consumers, so we’re proud to sponsor his talk.” 

 

Ciell said, “While the Unified Theory is not new, it’s still poorly understood.” He added, “I am thrilled that Our Health Co-op is helping educate more people on this important health topic.”

 

Ciell was recently interviewed on the same subject on the Deborah Ray “Health Talk Radio Show” out of Tampa, Florida.  Our Health Co-op will be handing out Ciell’s article, “One Pharmacist’s View of Coronary Heart Disease: Comparing the “Lipid Theory” with the “Unified Theory,” at its booth #32 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Additionally, Our Health co-op will be sponsoring a “Heart Health Kit” raffle, with the kit including a 3-month supply of 10 different heart health supplements, including Heart Plus (a vitamin C, L-lysine, and L-proline combination).
